Church Notices – St. Mary’s 21st June, 2015

  • Today is the 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time.  It is also Father’s Day.  We wish all Fathers, Grand-Fathers and new Fathers a Happy Father’s Day.
  • Maynooth Senior Citizens monthly tea-dance will take place this Sunday at 3pm in the GAA Club, Moyglare Road. All Senior Citizens are welcome.
  • On Monday Bishop Gomes, Auxiliary Bishop of Dhaka, Bangladesh, will celebrate a special Mass here in St Mary’s Church at 10.00 a.m. ahead of their International Conference co-hosted by Trócaire, Maynooth University and St Patrick’s College Maynooth which takes place in Maynooth University.  The music will be led by the schools’ choirs. The banners on the Church walls are the art work of the Boys’ National School in preparation for this mass.
  • The Lourdes Invalid Fund helps send sick pilgrims to Lourdes during the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes from   7th – 12th September.  You are invited to become an associate member, to make a small contribution and to record your intention.   All the intentions are brought to Lourdes and are prayed for at all the ceremonies during the pilgrimage and then left at the Grotto.  This fund takes place in the front Church porch this weekend and for the next three weekends.
  • If you, or someone you know is sick, and would like to travel with the sick pilgrim section of the pilgrimage – please contact Fr. Liam or Martina in the Parish Office. There is also a parish pilgrimage to Lourdes from the 22nd – 27th September.
  • The Annual Masses and Blessing of Graves at: Laraghbryan Cemetery will take place on Sunday next 28th June at – 3.00 p.m. Grangewilliam Cemetery – Saturday 4th July at 6.00 p.m. and  Ladychapel Cemetery – Wednesday 8th July at 8.00 p.m.
  • The Finance Committee will meet in the Parochial House on Monday evening at 8.00 p.m.
  • The Bible Study Group will meet in the Parochial House on Thursday evening at 8.00 p.m.
  • The Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from the 22nd – 27th September.  See porch for details or contact Martina in the Parish Office.
  • The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will collect the clothes bags at morning masses only.
  • The Church of St Mary is closing on Tuesday 7th July for 6-7 weeks for re-painting.  Weekend Masses will take place in the College Chapel and the 10.00 weekday Mass will take place in St. Joseph’s Oratory.
