New Altar Servers needed
We are once again recruiting for more Altar Servers. If you are interested in becoming an Altar Server please contact Fr. Liam, Fr. Paul or Martina in the Parish Office. To become an Altar Server the child must have received his/her First Holy Communion. The four week training will begin soon. This also involves a commitment from the parents/guardians – one of whom also attends the training sessions and is present in the sacristy before and after the Mass at which their child serves. The Dublin Diocesan Child Protection Policy is followed, (this is available in the Sacristy, Parish Office and on the Parish Website). It is planned that new Altar Servers will be commissioned in time for the Christmas Ceremonies.
There will be a meeting of all the present Altar Servers in St Mary’s Church on Saturday 12th November at 4.00 p.m.

New Parish Pastoral Centre
The great news is that Kildare County Council has approved the application for the building of the Parish Pastoral Centre at the rear of the Parochial House adjacent to the church. The building of this Parish Pastoral Centre is thanks to 234 parishioners who made pledges to the Living the Joy of the Gospel fund-raising initiative last year. The dream of the Parish Pastoral Centre is fast becoming a reality!
Thanks to the Parish Finance Committee and the Buildings Committee for getting this exciting project to this point. The next stage is to go out to tender in the near future and to raise the balance of funds required. Thanks to your on-going support which is making it possible to look forward to the completion of the building of the new Parish Pastoral Centre. This in turn will so enrich and develop the pastoral life of our parish.
