Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy
8th December, 2015 – 20th November, 2016
The Jubilee of Mercy will be inaugurated by Pope Francis in Rome on the 8th December, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary when he will open the Holy Door of Mercy in St Peter’s Basilica. It will continue until the 20th November, 2016, the Feast of Christ the King.
Pope Francis invites us to participate fully in this Year of Mercy and he hopes that “the Holy Door will become a Door of Mercy through which anyone who enters will experience the love of God who consoles, pardons and instils hope.”

Maynooth Senior Citizens Committee
A big thank you to all those who supported our Sale of Work on 20th November. The amount raised now stands at €10,253.53. This was a great result and we very much appreciate the continued support we receive from the community year in year out. Many thanks to all who helped on the day especially our young scouts, we couldn’t do it without you.
Congratulations to all the prize winners. Our Monster Hamper was won by Gay Hoare, Daniel Nicoll won the 2nd prize of €200, John Walsh won €100 and Mary Deane won the 32” TV. If you didn’t win any prizes, you can take comfort in the knowledge that we will spend your money wisely for the benefit of our older people. Once again Thank you.

Our Parish Social Justice Group will be coordinating the collection of the food from our Parish. We are asking Parishioners to bring food and leave it in the sacristy at Mass times. Types of food urgently needed include pasta/rice, fruit juice, tea/coffee, soup, sugar, powdered milk, tinned meat/fish, tinned veg/fruit, packaged dessert, biscuits, and hygiene products.
