Today is the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord.

The Novena to the Holy Spirit – a period of prayer, reflection and planning for the renewal of the Church in the Archdiocese of Dublin which begins on the 1st June and will conclude on Monday 9th June, the Feast of St Columba (St Colmcille), one of the three patron Saints of Ireland. Novena Prayer Cards are available in the porches.

On Sunday next 8th June there will be a bake sale after the 8.45 a.m., 10.00 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. Masses in the Parish Centre, with all funds supporting projects with the Badjao tribe in the Philippines, which Grace Barry, a youth member of our parish, will be volunteering with for 4 weeks this summer. Please come along and support this project.

Anne Heffernan will launch her book about a year she volunteered in Haiti on 5th June at 6.30 p.m. in Celbridge Library. Living in a Land That Time Forgot which tells her story of culture shock, a new language and living among some of the poorest people in our world. Anne is looking forward to welcoming you to the book launch to share what life in Haiti is really like.

All proceeds from the sale of her book will go directly to North West Haiti where people struggle every day to feed their children.

Mary’s Meals wish to thank all who contributed to their Church Gate Collection last weekend. The total collected was €1,572 for which they are most grateful.
