The fourth Mass for the Do This In Memory programme took place on Sunday the 14th of January. We celebrated the 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time.
The theme for the Mass was Come and See. The children brought up a poster with their names on it, in the reading we heard that God calls out Samuels name. In the dramatisation of the Gospel we heard lots of names and Jesus telling us to Come and See.
A huge thank you to the wonderful girls from Presentation Girls school for doing the readings, drama, prayers and creating beautiful artwork.
Everyone was invited back to the parish centre for a cuppa and some treats. Thank you to Fr Frank, everyone who attended and especially the family Mass choir who provided the lovely music. The excitement is building as the children look forward to making their First Holy Communion next April/May. Our next Do This In Memory Mass will take place on the 11th of February, it will be the children from St Mary`s Boys National School and Educate Togethers turn to do the jobs. Remember everyone is welcome.
