Today is the 5th Sunday of Easter.
This weekend there will be a special Lay Ministry Collection at all Masses. This will replace the usual SHARE Collection. The Lay Ministry Collection will support the development of a variety of lay ministries, providing for more women and men to work alongside the priests and deacons.
Congratulations to the children from Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich and Gaelscoil Ruairi who received their First Holy Communion on Friday. The Boys from St Mary’s BNS will receive their First Holy Communion on Friday next 23rd
6th class students are invited to the pastoral centre from 3-3:40pm on Monday the 19th of May for a talk by Maynooth Post Primary TY students about the upcoming change from primary school to secondary school! Refreshments will be organised by the TYs for the 6th class followed by a talk and Q&A session. Registration is essential. If your daughter/son would like to attend please register on the parish website or by scanning the QR code on the posters in the porch.
Soroptimist International will hold an Information & Awareness event on Human Trafficking on Wednesday next 21st May at 7.30 p.m. in the Glenroyal Hotel. See details in porch.
The Vocations Society of St Joseph (formerly St Joseph’s Young Priests Society) will meet after the 10.00 a.m. Mass on Thursday next 22nd May in the Pastoral Centre.
Mary’s Meals will hold a Church Gate Collection next weekend 24th/25th Mary’s Meals solution to world hunger is that every child receive one meal at their place of education. Funds collected will go to emergency in South Africa.
The Laraghbryan Cemetery Committee wish to thank all who contributed to their Church Gate Collection last weekend which amounted to €1,721. The Annual Mass & Blessing of Graves will take place at Laraghbryan on Sunday 29th June at 3.00 p.m.
