Today is the Palm Sunday
The Parish Finance Committee have signed off on the Parish Finances for 2022. Details of the accounts should be distributed to all households, although some areas could not be covered. If you did not receive one, copies are available in the porches. A copy of the accounts will also be available on our parish website. The household leaflet will also include details of our Easter Ceremonies.
The Church Gate Collection this weekend is for the Mellon Educate Trust. Two local volunteers from the parish, James Stack (Rockfield) and John Kavanagh (Castledawson) are travelling to South Africa as volunteers with MELLON EDUCATE assisting in the construction of a school in one of the most impoverished communities in the eastern suburbs of Capetown. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
Maynooth Senior Citizens Committee will hold their Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 4th April at 8pm in the Geraldine Hall. We would like to encourage people to come along to the meeting with a view to possibly volunteering and joining the Committee. The Dublin Diocese Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on Saturday 29th April. The Parish will have a bus travelling to Knock. The pilgrimage mass will be celebrated at 3.00 pm by the Archbishop of Dublin. We will be stopping in Gleeson’s Hotel for a meal on the return journey. The cost of trip is €30. If you are interested in travelling please contact the Parish Office as we only have 8 places Further details will be available later on.
Ladies Community Singing Group – singing for fun. We meet every Tuesday morning from 00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. in the Parish Pastoral Centre (in St Mary’s Church Grounds) – commencing on Tuesday 18th April -. Please come and try it out. Contact names/Tel. numbers are available in the Church porches.
