Introducing Emma, our new Parish Youth Leader

Hello 🙂 My name is Emma and I am really excited to be your Parish Youth Leader.
I have a BA in Theology and a Diploma in Youth Ministry from St Patrick`s College Maynooth. I`ve previously worked as part of different youth retreat teams in Dublin, in the Youth Hub in St Paul`s Arran Quay and for the last five years I was the national administrator for Youth 2000 which is Ireland’s biggest youth ministry movement for ages 16-35. I have lived in Maynooth my whole life – I went to Presentation Girls School and Maynooth Post Primary so it is a real honour for me to be given the opportunity to serve my own parish.
I have an 8-year-old son so I understand the challenges of raising children in the faith. My favourite saints are St Joseph, St Anthony and St Maria Goretti. In my spare time, I like to watch Formula 1, I`m a Ferrari fan. Hopefully one day I’ll get the chance to go to a Grand Prix. My guilty pleasure is watching Real Housewives, it doesn’t matter if it`s the ladies of New York or Beverly Hills, I love them all!. I`m passionate about my faith and I`m really looking forward to nurturing and growing the faith of our young people in Maynooth. If you have any ideas that you think may be helpful feel free to come and have a chat with me. You can find me most days in the parish centre or feel free to email me at parishyouthmaynooth@gmail.com
